I know this happened a little while ago, but I just wanted to mention that JK Rowling has said "no" to Mark Evans being a main part in the books.

Accorrding to JK Rowling's site, "Mark Evans is...nobody."

I thought you guys might like to know.

I already knew he wasn't important, but, he is a well known character, so I wanted to be him.
