They Moved The Movie Premiere Date!!!!!!

According to Mugglenet, Warner Brothers has moved the Half-Blood Prince release date to July 17, 2009!!!! After this announcement was made, Summit Entertainment announced that it was moving the Twilight movie into Half-Blood Prince's place on November 21st, but they claim that they "by no means are trying to fill the shoes of the incredible POTTER franchise for 2008".

I am sooooo mad about this!!!! Did they even give a real reason that they are pushing it back? I read that the movie is done...and the producers have seen the movie...its all edited and ready to go...so why arent they releasing it yet?!

Its really not fair...but as said above...what can we do about it?

I think that all Potter fans uniting would be a good idea...but who knows if it would really work....

It's Hollywood...they care about their profits and whats best for them....

This is so not cool! I can't believe they moved The Half Blood Prince movie to next year! Now they will probably change the premiere date of the 7th movie too! The 7th movie part one probably won't come out until 2011, and the 7th movie part two probably won't come out till 2012 now!

yea im mad but my reasoning is since the last two movies for book7 are year 2010 and 2011 im guessing they wanted to have a three movies within a somewhat three year span instead of playing it this year then have a year break then bring out the next two so if thats it it totally make sense to me i just wish the wouldnt have given us false hope to it playing in just a few months now pushing it back more than half a year

I agree with you, they probably want to keep the last three movies as close as they can and as they hav'nt started on the others yet it make sense to move it back

Still makes me mad though, I was really looking forward to the film, The Half Blood Prince is one of my favarite books in the whole series.

I heard the guy Cedric from GOF is in the twilight movie.

But why are they doing so? I thought it'll bring them more profits to present the 6 this year.... In fact, isn't it better to release all the remains as soon as possible? You know, fancies fade...

No, I know the reasons why.
They pushed it back because the Writers Strike didn't give them enough time to prepare.
Or at least that is what WB is saying.
