10 Years Since the Downfall of Lord Voldemort
As revealed in ITV's JK Rowling Documentary which aired back in December, May 2nd, 1998 was the day Harry finally defeated Lord Voldemort within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A couple of visitors have asked us to post this wonderful anniversary. And why not? The Battle of Hogwarts within Deathly Hallows was one of the coolest scenes ever created by Jo. It held what we've been waiting to witness since closing Sorcerer's Stone. And who can forget Molly Weasley's infamous line to Bellatrix Lestrange: "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"?

So here's to Harry and his triumphant win against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Leave your thanks to Harry and Jo in the comments, and ask yourself: Do Wizards have a name for this anniversary?

I didnt even click until i saw it on mugglenet. Imagine if this whole book was real... not only would Ron have turned 28 back on MArch 1st, Harry be 28 in July and Hermione would be 29! in September - anyone born before July 31st 1986 would have been a first year and would have been evacuated on that "fateful" night. Imagine how scared they must have been. Their first year at Hogwarts and it could possibly be destroyed!

SCARY SCARY STUFF!

10 Years is nothing. It doesn't dull the pain or hides the scars. It is just a starting place for real healing. I wonder most about George and Hogwarts. The changes in the castle and the changes to half of my favourite duO. I often read that part over and over and the pain is as bad as when i read it the first time. i hope that hte whole magical community comes to Hogwarts and remembers the day and all hte good people that died. I can see them all under the enchanted ceiling or by Dumbledor's crypt paying their respects and remembering the lost ones, maybe with some bagpipes or a phoenix singing in the background, hopefully on a cold windy day.
