That's the biggest thing. Any Republican, no matter how good his intentions, would be powerless. Like Dr. Seuss said, "This mess is so big and so deep and so tall, we can not clean it up, there is no way at all."

Every system that should be going forward has instead been going backward (health care, education, sustainability). And don't forget the Republican feeding frenzy that turned the most massive surpluss in history into the most massive deficit in history. And to top it off, a Republican would be forced to protect the former president from any prosecution.
