B&N Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Launch Party

7:27PM Just got a call in from Dumbledore, Mark Evans, Hermoine, and Dobby. They are waiting in line at a B&N in southern California.

They say, "We're here. The line is huge -- really long." There are about 100 people in line in front of them. Little kids are dressed up in costumes. B&N has a food cart & trolley with sweets. B&N also passed out Harry's graduation tassles and keychains to those in line.

They'll call again when the line starts moving and they get inside.

New York City just got their copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I just got an update from Hermoine about the launch event that they are attending:

Sorting hat cermony
- Hermoine and Dobby were put into Hufflepuff
- Mark Evans into Ravenclaw

There is a Berty Bots eating contest, but only open to those under age of 10. "They're really being mean about it. Why don't they have more groups?"

They're having a blast. Now they wish they'd brought their webcam so they could be broadcasting. They'll call again in a couple hours.

I went to one in Wichita! I was put in Ravenclaw and I got my picture taken with Harry, I made a wand, an exploding potion, and I played Outsmart the WIZARD! It was awesome! I was number 70 in line and there were at least 600 people after me!
