Why would Hermione wince when Harry said " Voldemort " ?
I mean , she was supposed to grow up in a muggle family , wasn't she ?
Then how could she understand the horror in the wizard world during the past sixteen year ?

I think that she was very aware of the wizarding world. Also, everyone winces when Harry says Voldemort. Except Dumbledore. I think that when Harry says Voldemort everyone remembers what happened when he was at full power.

I think that when she was growing up she had no idea who Voldermort was, but once she got to the Wizarding World, found out who he is and what he did, she then became scared of him. Just my thoughts though.
