OKEY-DOKEY! I will start with... In Book 5, it says that James Potter wasbn;t a prefect. But earlier in the books, it say that he and Harry's Mother were Head Boy and Girl. How is this possible? On page 1 of Book 5, Harry is lying in his Aunt's hydrangea bush, but on page 7 he recalls that "someone magical had been near him as he lay among Aunt Petunia's dying begonias..." On page 166, Chapter 9 of Book 5, "The Woes of Mrs. Weasley," it says: "He pretended to be rummaging for something while Hermione crossed to the wardrobe and called Hedwig down. A few moments passed; Harry heard the door close but remained bent double, listening... He straightened up and looked behind him. Hermione and Hedwig had gone. Harry hurried across the room, closed the door..." But Harry had already heard the door close. In Book 5, Chapter 30 ("Grawp"), pages 683 and 684, at the Gryffindor/Ravenclaw Quidditch match, it says: "They [Harry & Hermione] found seats in the topmost row of the stands." Later on, when Hagrid comes to take them to see Grawp, it says: "Apparently he [Hagrid] had squeezed his way all along the row behind." How can that be if Harry and Hermione were in the top row? Well, there are some to get started.

In Philosophers Stone it sais that Sytherin House quidditch captain is 6th year Marcus Flint , yet me makes an appearance in Prisoner of Azkaban. JK later explained that this was either a mistake or Flint repeated a year, and that she preffered the second option.

I was reading Philosopher's Stone again in the last week. I got it back from my Mum who had it (she lives 700 kilometres from me, so that's no small feat!). Anyway, I noticed when Hagrid goes to pick Harry up from the Hut on the Rock he said he was so keen for the job because in getting to Harry he was allowed to use magic. He sends Dumbledore a message about having found Harry and then performs magic in giving Dudley a pigs tail, and the next morning he uses a charm to get the row boat to go faster. He asks Harry not to say anything about these incidents, yet why would Harry need to squeal. The ministry knows when magic is performed in a location anyway. Any thoughts on it?
