LOL! You have a point and remind me of alot of my friends. But, even though your prolly right on some points there, I think that JK Rowling will add some type of twist that will once again have us all hanging on her every word. Yeah, the character's can be predictable, but you gotta admit that there are twists you weren't expecting in the books

Ha ha , Low Profile 's theory is really interesting ! And that works to me .
It's a possible and simple way . Yeah , " Accio Horcruxes ! " should solve all the problems !

And Amy Potter -

Don't you think it would be too boring if the final episode comes out as that ?
By the way , I thought Ron and Hermione like each other , don't they ?

I understand your point about Harry and some other characters being predictable, and I agree to a degree. The counter-point to your post is that Harry did try Accio Horcrux, in the cave with Dumbledore. Do we have any known spells that might bring the Horcruxes to Harry? Or invent one, just for fun...

Wow, some of you have some very vivid imaginations. As for myself, I only hope that certain things will not happen. I have read a whole lot of fantasy and sci-fi books and most seem to have the same sort of endings when this kind of situation is presented. I just hope she doesn't use this "generic ending" which I have seen countless times.

This ending usually involves the spy character performing some heroic deed which causes our beloved hero to win, but also results in the death of said spy. Aside from the fact that I am a Snape fan, I really am tired of reading this particular scenario. (Besides, Snape does not do the whole blatant self-sacrificial hero type stuff.)

Now if I were to seriously predict what I believe will happen...I think that Snape will still serve as a spy and saboteur within Voldemort's ranks. Snape will be passing information along by either someone in the Order who finds the truth about Dumbledor's death or through a couple of portraits of Dumbledor (one at Hogwarts and one hidden away by Snape.) Through this information, Harry will be able to find the remaining Horcruxes and destroy them, except Nagini. I agree with Psyduck that Snape will probably kill the snake, simply because he is in the best position to do so.

As for which characters I think will bite the big one: One is certainly Voldemort. The other is entirely up for grabs, depending on what Ms Rowling considers "main."

I just wonder whether or not Harry will really be able to find all the Horcruxes in such a short time. Maybe he'll find some other way or something. Though I do believe that Dumbledore is really dead, I also think that he will also help enormously in the last book like he has for all the others
[/b]
Interesting you should mention the finding of the horcruxes, here is where my theory comes in....

Harry is sitting silently brooding (as he so often does, expect him to yell at Ron and Hermione if the talk to loudly anytime soon) Suddenly a small lightbulb appears above his head, that's right folks Harry Potter has had an idea. Now since all Harry's ideas work out so well (i.e. he got Dumbledore fired, Sirius killed, etc.) he instantly decides to try out this new idea.

Harry stands up, draws his wand and in a loud voice yells....

ACCIO HORCRUXES!!!

Several minutes later Harry, along with the rest of the DA are foolishly off to confront a group of much older, more experienced wizards who can kill with a single word, the Deatheaters
Nonetheless the brave group attack these wizards and their leader (Voldemort) whose magical prowess managed to hold the entire wizarding community at bay for years. After a brief battle, muh dialogue, and a few of Harry's friends dying (luckily Harry must be getting used to this) he manages to defeat Voldemort and there is much rejoicing. All that remains now is for Rowling to write a fifty page epilogue explaining all the inconsistencies in her previous books.

DISCLAIMER i am a fan of Harry Potter, and do enjoy the books, I merely feel that the characters are often too predictable and several times they never consider the easy option, because that wouldn't be much of a story now would it?
[/b][/quote]
okay, as far as harry yelling ACCIO HORCRUXES, in book 6, he tries to do that with the locket in the basin, but it doesn't work. Instead, that inferi thingy jumps up out of the water. (Even though that wasn't the real horcrux there. But, seriously, there was an enchantment so that no one could just ACCIO whatever was in that basin out of there.)

Why couldn't you "just ACCIO" a horcrux?
Dumbledore didn't seem to think it was likely, but you never know... he let Harry try... He was NOT sure.
And since we now know what Dumbledore did not know -- that the horcrux wasn't there -- we still don't know for sure.

Another problem is that it would take more than "several minutes."
When Harry called for his broom in the third task (GoF) it took several minutes to travel from the castle to the quidditch pitch. If the horcruxes are coming from across the country... and if he doesn't have a clear image...

Nah.
Cool idea, but it's still not working.
Need more brain power, or is it a lost cause?

I think that Harry will for sure beat Voldemort. But I still believe that Voldermort is dead, and Snape is a Death Eater. Who I believe will die, im not sure. I think it will be a handful of people though. I think Hermoine will go, and maybe some less improtant characters(Neville, Dean, ect.) And possibly Hagrid.

I still think Neville Longbottom's role in this story is yet to be fully realized. What if everything having to do with Harry - the last six books - was just a distraction to get Voldemort's attention away from the one person that can really destroy him? Voldemort never thought of Neville and I can see him sneaking up and taking control of the entire story. Maybe that's what the cover art depicts. Neville has taken control of some monumental power that will not only destroy Voldemort but wink out existence as well. Maybe Neville's Gran dies and with his parents lost, the anguish becomes too much for him. Why not destroy everything? It couldn't feel any worse to Neville. Watch out for this, now. I ain't lyin! The greatest stories are always about misdirection.

Okay that just sounds freaky! do you really thuink that Neville could do that/ even if he wanted to? i mean...he is SO clumsy, and that alone would foil his plans for anything evil.

Also...i think he as well as Ron and Hermione will be up the front fight Voldemort with Harry. Because even though Neville isn't that big in the Boks...he still laves a "hero" mark. lol
