Harry is not an auror and he has defied Voldemort six times.

The problem with that theory is that Dumbledore didn't know until Harry's third year at school that Pettigrew, not Sirius, was the Potters' secret keeper. No one had told him of the switch before then. Had he have known that can you imagine him being willing to let Black stay in Azkaban for 12 years? He would have been suspicious about the allegations of Black killing 20 people as well if he knew it was Pettigrew, not Black, who was in Voldemort's service. Dumbledore would have been appealing the ministry for Black's release... just as he tried to do for Morfin (a much less likeable character than Black) and also for Hokey the House-Elf.

That is basically wrong. Harry had defied him 6 times, and he is 16, not even an "adult" yet. Also, we don't know how many times the Order of the Phoenix had gone up against Voldemeort in James and Lily's time. Sio, they could have no been Auror's, and still defeated him 3 times.

To add to that;
If Sirus had done that, then James and Lily wouldn't have been in the house. They would somewhere that was more safe, eg. Hogwarts.

I found some other reasons o "The Leaky Cauldron" online.

1) Because James wanted to hide it with Dumbledore
2) Because it is an artifact of Godric's and/or a horcrux
3) Because Snape was hiding under it at Godric's Hollow on Oct 31, 1981

James wouldn't really have given the cloak to DD to give to Harry, because to do that-he would have to know that he was gonna die. And he couldn't have know that, cause if he did, he would have made sure that Lily and Harry were't in the house when Volderemort came.

So I am guessing that DD kniw James had the cloak, and fetched from the house after the event happened.

yes and james and lilly where with the order not auror like the longbottoms they where auoros and with the order they had bolth dified the dark lord 3 times and you dont have to be a auoro to do anything to the dark lord you just have to be good weith your wand and have a strong mind to keep from his legmins and all that harry has mostly gotin by on luck so far and is lucky he even got by on luck so i dont know what you where thinking about only aurors could go up aginst the dark lord.
