It's a common theme in magic and science fiction. The Weasley's tent was bigger on the inside than it was on the outside, possibly because it was actually a portal to somewhere else. Another dimension, z-space, eddies in the space-time continium... the terminology varies. The trap door under Fluffy was most likely a portal that led to something that wasn't really there, but was somewhere else. Is this making sense yet? Can anyone else explain the inexplicable?

I love that description, probably cause I love D&D

But pretty much, its a room that doesn't look like a room. Its a door that goes into a room that's not there...any sense?

Only in the fact that it isn't really there. From the outside, it's probably no bigger than a broom closet. On the inside it's as big as you need it to be.

In Book 3...

Harry has been throwen out of the Dursley's house, and he is sitting on the wall in Magonolia Cresent. He senses Sirius, turns around, and says Lumos. But he didn't get in trouble for using maic outside schol as an underage wizard.

Wierd aye?

No. They explain it.
I think it was Ron who offered the explaination, "Probably because it's you!" He went on to commented that "they would have to dig me up first because Mom would have killed me," or something like that.

Later, it's stated outright -- that Fudge let Harry off because he was so relieved to find him alive. Must be in book 5. Was it during the the big show down in Dumbledore's office with Unbridge and Fudge? Or something to do with the hearing?

I'm not collecting anything. People have their own free will. I'm just welcoming them in.
