Ok, as you can see I had to go through some of these posts and remove the things I found inappropriate. It is OK to state your opinion, but it is not OK when you state your opinion and state that everyone who doesn't believe you is wrong, or stupid. Ok, basically, my opinion... I don't know who this Liz is, but I know that I'm not going to judge her until I see the movie. Obviously the directors saw something in her, and so we should at least wait to see the movie before saying she is totally wrong for the movie... Or at least, that is my opinion. As for the trio, I think they are wonderful. No, they may not be what you or I imagined in our heads, but everyone pictures something different in their heads. You may have thought the dragon was supposed to be humongous, and pictured the field for the tournament differently than it is in the movie, but that doesn't make it wrong... Personally, I love Ruperts facial expressions, and think that Emma Watson does really well at being brainy, and of couse Daniel is all over great in my opinion, though the crying scenes are a little too fake for me, but whatever. Anyways, we do have to keep in mind that every movie star had to start out somewhere, and just because they haven't been in tons of movies before, doesn't mean they aren't great or at least good for the part.

They get better with every movie they make its called experience. The last movie they made was much better than the first. I too now picture them when I read the book because it is good for the imagination to have a face to a name in the book and they act as you want them to in your mind when you read each book. I think they get better every time I think that they will be better in this new movie and better when they all sign on for OOTP. I have seen much worse acting in other films by other people because they are not perfect makes them more real to me.

If you look up the "trios"-as its seems everyone must call them-bios,you will find that they are doing things, and have done other things, then HP. And I think they do a fine job. The movies are a seperate entity, you have to enjoy them in there own right. I didn't become a HP fan until i saw the first movie(which i saw after the fact, and only because the DVD came free with the DVD player we bought). Then I began reading the books and was hooked. And again, you have to be realistic about the movies. It is not finacially resonable to not cut things out. People just don't have the attention spans to sit longer then 2 1/2 hours in a theater. And besides, be it my personal opinion, most of the stuff books 5&6 can be cut out. I found the first half of these books (5&6), tedious. There was too much extra, too wordy, and I found myself wanting JK just to get to the point. Book one is perfect, the story stays on track with out a bunch of side stories that don't have anything to do with the ultimate end. Book 4 is my favorite. It's long, but also stays on track. p.s. I'm ready for the attacks on my thoughts here.

The kissing and stuff is great, but i still think Jk could of kept it light, gave us good back ground and done it with a few 100 less words. Maybe i just have to many other responsibilties to take care off and want to read somthing relatively short and sweet. which 2007 is much to far away.

Gotta agree with you nicubabe. The 5th was my least fav. book. All the time I'm reading it I was wondering how they're gonna pad this story out to 2 hours in the film. i mean, what really happens? As much as I loved the 6th (my fav is the 4th too by the by), I can't help but compare them all to the brillant efficiency of the 1st. In the first ... what.. 30 pages of the 1st book, we'd already meet our main characters and been introduced to a whole new amazing world. No other book can say that. Maybe we are pressuring our Jo a little too hard. Maybe she's pushing this brillant stuff out without proper editing. I can't find it in myself to ask her to slow down though. The 5th makes me wonder: Was it a filler or does it hold some clues?? for me, the only remarkable scene in the 5th is in the Dep. of Mysteries when they're pacing about the arch of death and Harry thinks he hears ronnie's voice and the only one who's scared by the arch/death, is Hermione. Do you think this might mean that our Ronnie's in for it, or maybe Hermione? I know i know, I find it hard to believe too but what other purpose did the 5th book serve? We could have found out about the prophecy any time- didn't need a whole book for that lil' tit bit surely? hThe other possible 'pupose' for the 5th has to be the intro to Umbridge who obviously is gonna play a part later - Harry will have his revenge. Again, this didn't need a whole.. what was it... 600 odd pages..??? Naaa, the 5th has to have something more hidden in it to justify it's existence. What you think? Opps. Off topic again. Ne'r mind. Such is life - the interesting bits anyway
