Age is going to be a factor in these movies. The third movie already showed the influence age has on the production - with the kids running around in jeans rather than a uniform. It wasn't very 'classy' ... and hopefully the next movie will be a better representation of the book and consistent with the ideas of a private school.

The movies take most of the good points from the book that can easily be transformed into a movie. I think it would be really hard to put the full book into a movie. The books make you use your imagination to see what is going on, that is part of the good thing about the books. The movies are good in their own sense the bring the action life for all to see. They tend to follow pretty well, you get the jist of the book in the movies. You usually will always get more out of the book than in the movies that goes for most movies that are made from books.
