In the Harry Potter series, owls play a huge role, and as a steward of wildlife, I'm thrilled to see wildlife in movies. But it triggers visions in my head of kids wanting owls as pets. Owls are indeed mystical creatures, but it is not only a bad idea to have an owl as a pet, it is illegal.

It's illegal to keep Owls as house pets in Aus . They are protected.

We had peacocks as kids ....they were beutiful ....but 'bloody' noisy !

Peacocks are great watchdogs ...you can't shut them up unless you throw
them a bit of raw meat ! Although mine ~ Griselda .... used to like it if i wave something colourful at her.
