Many people have asked us "How do I become an admin?" This is a hard question to answer, because admins have a big job. Not only do you have to be active, and trustworthy, but they also have access to quite a bit of the site. So, basically, if you want to become an admin, here are a few steps to follow:
1) Post. Admins have to be active, and available when people need them. At the moment, the minimum posts needed to become an admin is 5000... I know, it is a lot, but only someone
extrememly dedicated to the site will be able to post that many times, so we figure that is a reasonable amount. (Keep in mind the majority of these posts have to contribute to the site. Having "I'm bored" or something else equivalent to that as the majority of your posts isn't going to cut it.)
2) Admins have to be able to help people with their questions. So, to become an admin, you need to be willing to do that. If you ever see that someone has posted a question about the site, or needs help and no one has helped them yet, you need to help them as much as you can.
3) Welcome people. Admins are supposed to make people feel welcome, so visit the board for new members, and say hi to people.
4) And, once you have done all this, you have to ask permission from Dumbledore to become an admin.
I know, I know, this sounds like a lot, but we need people who are dedicated to the site. So, if you feel you are up to the challange, try and become an admin!
