Default How to get promoted from First Year to Seventh Year
Promotions are based on the number of posts that you make in the HarryPotterChat forums.

Name - # of posts
Sorting Hat - 1
First Year - 20 posts, registered for 1 day
Second Year - 100 posts, registered for at least 1 day
Third Year - 200 posts, registered for at least 2 days
Fourth Year - 400 posts, registered for at least 30 days
Fifth Year - 700 posts
Househead Fifth Year - 1200 posts
Sixth Year - 1600 posts
Seventh Year - 2000 posts

Have a great time discussing the books, movies, celeb appearances, fan fiction and more!

I never heard that part about being registered for a minimum of days.
