Stupid Advertisements!

I really don't like it when people get on here and post advertisements of some sort and never come back again. I mean they are wasteing our time and they kick off topics towards the bottom of the page.

What do you think about these one time posters and their advertisements?
What should be done?
What are we doing to make it stop?

Please help me understand!

I've just been going through and deleting the topics one by one ..

I can set a thing where you have to have your topics read before they can be posted, but that would be horrible for the other 3000 members.

Also, right now I'm in the admin section seeing if there are settings I can edit to get this stopped. I'll let you know.

But please don't set up a situation where they all have to be reviewed before being posted, that would be awful. I think if people just make sure they report these threads when they come across them (I know I do) problems will be taken care of quickly.

I will also get as often as I can so that I can delete them, hopefully before anyone sees them.

Did you know that this server is "attacked" once every eight seconds? Just think of the filters on the site to knock it down to less than a few a day.

Really!? Wow! Well, I guess they are pretty good then. I actually haven't seen any advetisements for a long time, so either peole are getting on before me or the problem has been taken care of.

I prefer to think that it has been taken care of.
