i thought that with the short time they had, and the director they had, he did fairly well. The only thing (s?) that bugged me were the things that bugged me throughout the ENTIRE third film - having a new location, school, wardrobe and so on... he would've been great if he had tried to be like the old one. I think there was an interview with the new one, and he said that he wanted to create a new image or something like that. why would dombledore all of a sudden change his accent and style? and same with hogwarts. why would a school just change? it doesnt make any sense...
