yes I am firm believer in but padeling, until my son gets to the age of 14 then he should either know better or be able to defend him self. that is how it was in my house and I only mouthed off once and that was enough, to start weight lift the next week when I WOKE UP, LOL Yea never have had a disrespecfull word to my mom since. , And for girls it is 12 and at that point they get things taken away, I have noticed that they care more about that then a butt womping. I have help rase my little sis and my Nies and Nephew, since they were born so I know what i am getting into.
