Do you mean the Penseive? You need a wand to extract the memory... but is that 'communicating' or 'storing??
Hey, what do you think happens when you've put a memory in the Penseive? Do you still have the memory in your head as you're walking around or do you just totally forget it because you've put it in the Penseive? If you forget it... well that's silly! How can you build thoughts/ theorems if you're taking out certain memories?? Do you know what I mean? The Penseive must be for just syphoning off quick thoughts and memories when they're all rushing at you - kinda like when you can't type fast enough! - or whan you need a storage facility. Ahhh, that's the interesting one, did Snape remember the whole 'showing his undies to the school' memory, even after he'd locked it away in the Penseive so Harry wouldn't see it for the occulency lesson??
I can see how the Penseive could be a communication device the same way as I can see the Mirror of Erised could be. Both though, are limited.
Nah, there's gotta be something else. When Cedric Diggory' Dad's head appeared in the fire at the Weasley's (GoF) that was just Floo Powder wasn't it... hmmmm... no wand needed. Still, my BuffyBuff senses are tingling... There was something, I swear in the GoF ... maybe?.. about Ministry folk communicating using their wands alone. Does anyone remember anything like this?????
Hey, while I'm asking the hard questions/ the 'sort the REAL FANS' out from the 'Pretenders' (did that work? Did I raise your ire enough to sporn interest?) can anyone find the sentence in the OotP where it says that Dumbledore, Snape and Lupin are accomplished in occulency? |
