I think it's very real. How many times have you like someone and they've gone out with someone else or used to go out with someone else. Jo isn't trying to write this perfect life for Harry... actually she's doing a fair job of making it heck for the kid. But life is full of curve balls and brick walls. We just have to deal with it and swing toward the fence and find our way over, under or around those walls.
