Re: How many lucky turns? (another chapter for “T.I.R.A.D.E.”) You know, the more I think about the wand ownership theory, the more I feel like the fact that Harry ended up with the Elder Wand's allegiance is, in itself, a huge string of luck. First off, the theory itself is weak, but evidently the ways that benefit Harry all work (i.e. Expelliarmus and overpowering of the "master"'s main wand). Second off, between the end of HBP and the middle of DH, it seems ridiculously lucky to me that Draco was never ONCE disarmed. Or that, after starting to use Draco's wand, which was NOT a perfect fit for Harry, he wasn't disarmed EITHER- despite the fact that this did occured earlier in DH. And finally- does ANYONE understand how it is that Dumbledore was able to gain the allegiance of the Elder Wand from Grindelwald, (supposedly, if the earlier books are to go by, in a duel), while the Elder Wand is UNBEATABLE??? o_0 |
