Zonko: me old comrade, me old storm the barracades brotha, I reckon Dumb might be picking his fights. Probably drawing attention to Hagrid with a flibberty-gibbitt (not just fun to say, even fun to type!!) of a minister about, might not be the be the smartest course. As soon as Dumb becomes minister and just before he dies, I think he will pardon Hagrid. Then again, as you say, whats the point. Hagrid seems to be doing alright just the way he is. Though, you do get the impression that he still feels the weight of the shame, so... maybe restoration will be the way to go. Maybe it'll be like at the end of Star Wars when they all go up and get their medals: " And to you Straw-man, here's a brain!". Sorry. No offence to Hagrid lovers - aren't we all!!!??- out there.
