To end one part or to begin the other?

Drama-wise, if you're beginning the second part with the silver doe and Ron's return, that leaves the first part with a drab, nothing ending.

If you're ending the first part with Ron's return, how does it end? I don't see any place to break.

Also, there's too much for the script-writers to cram into the second part.
