DUH! my bad. i knew it couldn't have been neville. his parents were tortured by what's her face. i can't remember. i'm rereading the 5th book and they talk about neville's parents in one of the chapters. how dumb of me not to remember that. |
Neville's folks were tortured by the Lestrange's (nee Bellafix(?)/ Bellatrix(?) Black-that 'orrible Sirius killer). JKR says that this had nothing to do with the prophecy but. So just the run-o-the-mill auror torture. Wonder what they were trying to find out from them. Do we know? Did it have something to do with the Potters whereabouts? If so they sacrificed themselves for them. If this is true, I wonder if Neville knows. Hows that go to make him feel?
Here's another fact: JKR says"There's no trace of the HBP storyline in the 'Chambers....Rather it relates to a discovery Harry made in 'Chambers' that foreshadows something that he finds out in 'Prince'" My votes on the diary. Either because it is a way of communicating with the dead or because it's a way that one person can divide themselves into many (hundreds of Voldemorts). What do you reckon?
I need to reread the CoS I think
