just in response to buffybuffs comments on how harry is half blood. harry is half blood because his mother was from a non magical family (just like hermione). if you remember when harry looked into the pensive and saw snapes memories in the memory lily sticks up for snape when james is hexing him and snape says something to her then calls her a mudblood.
