One way to make things move faster is to change the number of posts that show on each page.

Click "Your Options," the, "Edit Options," and scroll down to "Thread Display Options."
You can change it there. When you are finished, remember to scroll down and click the "Save" button.

Another way is to turn off all the signatures. It just makes them invisible.
