there is no greater honour aside from being asked to be a godparent - as far as children are concerned.
I thought the epilogue was short - too many names in too short a chapter. but then I thought - what if she deliberately wanted it to be that way?
to all those who don't like how she did it - why aren't you asking yourselves.. what if what we got was EXACTLY as it was meant to be? WHY would she have written it that way? Isn't that what analysis of an author's work is supposed to be about? It just smacks of arrogance to expect that someone else's imaginings somehow has to fit MY ideals and expectations 100%.
Artists can never please everyone. artists shouldn't have to please everyone. Artists should spark debate and thought and hopefully inspire others. I think she has done this. |
