I think Harry misjudged Luna. He thought she was flakey like Trelawny, the Divination Professor. But he discovered that they had two things in common.
They both saw the carriage horses and they both lost their mothers when
they were young. I think Luna surprises him because she seems to accept
injustice and work around it. Harry gets angry about injustice and he fights
it.
