For the Dementors and the Nazgul, the overall idea is very similar- to me, JK took the general air of the Nazgul and tweaked it took make her own creatures. Obviously, they are much less important in HP, which has less historical background in general. We barely know anything about many of the characters, not to even go into the creatures. If it had been copied that closely, it would have been considered plagarism. |
