Well, I think another aspect (or maybe just excuse) of the limitedness of the Wizarding World, as far as magical populations in other countries/continents has to do with the fact that the books are definetly skewed towards Harry's perspective- who probably doesn't know anything about other wizarding worlds. After all, he only discovers them in the 4th book. Of course, Rowling wrote this sooo.... All you reasons sound right as well, but just as far as the last couple books, Harry probably wasn't keen on doing research on overseas wizards- and their goverment probably didn't want to get involved in the British wizarding world's war. |
