I think Lupin needed reminding that all his family (Tonks and the baby) really needed was his love and support. He wasn't making good decisions at that point. You should never be concerned with what others are saying--only what you yourself feel. Yes, he wanted to protect Dora.....if the situation had not been so tense, perhaps he could have found more joy in his married life. I am glad that Harry made him see sense so that he was able to be happy for a short time prior to his demise.
