Also, I love the cover art of the flying dragon, but I'm starting to get tired of looking at it while I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting. If that is contributing to the slow-down, I'd rather get rid of it.

What type of connection do you use? What browser are you using? What version of the browser? What screen resolution are you using?
Also, I have been attempting to improve the speed through some optimization tips, but so far, the suggestions have only caused problems. Thousands of people were disconnected this past week alone. Rather frustrating but I have spent hours each night on trying to speed up the site.
