I have a thought about Peter's debt... what if it's already been paid? In GoF Peter had tied up Harry, cut him, and collected his blood for LV's potion. This potion gave LV a new body. It also made it possible for LV to touch Harry. What if Peter had, unknowingly, given Harry another advantage over Voldemort?
