Read between the lines. You'll get your answer. Snape saved Harry's life on more than one occasion. You can't bluff your way onto Dumbledore's good side. He's a very good judge of character. Remember how he still trusted Hagrid even though he had been hiding Aragog in the School. Trusted him enough to keep him on the school grounds. Dumbledore didn't make a mistake with Snape.
