I think your problem with The Village is disappointing. Shymalan is a great storyteller and has you believing the unbelievable in a new and interesting way. He makes you use your imagination, and maybe you just need to exercise yours more often. I would love to see Half-Blood Prince by Shymalan. The suspense of the story leading up to the Astronomy Tower would be perfect for his style.
Oh, I don't think the actress for Umbridge is frog-like enough...and I imagined her as being more portly.
