I still think Neville Longbottom's role in this story is yet to be fully realized. What if everything having to do with Harry - the last six books - was just a distraction to get Voldemort's attention away from the one person that can really destroy him? Voldemort never thought of Neville and I can see him sneaking up and taking control of the entire story. Maybe that's what the cover art depicts. Neville has taken control of some monumental power that will not only destroy Voldemort but wink out existence as well. Maybe Neville's Gran dies and with his parents lost, the anguish becomes too much for him. Why not destroy everything? It couldn't feel any worse to Neville. Watch out for this, now. I ain't lyin! The greatest stories are always about misdirection. |
