Yeah, it's covered up by his hair, so you really can't tell.
Thanks for pointing out the people in the background. I didn't notice it at first. That is intriguing. Maybe Deatheaters? Or possibly just a distraction to make us think that others are there?
I imagine the curtains are just decorative elements for the inside sleeves of the books.
What are they both reaching towards?
Both Harry and Voldemort are lacking wands. I believe somewhere wandless magic is mentioned. Could this be it? It is difficult to tell in 2-D, but it doesn't look as if Voldemort is pointing his hands towards Harry. And certainly Harry's focus is somewhere else.
The thing around Harry's neck looks like a pouch/bag of some sort. What would be in it if that is the case I do not know.
I'm wondering about the wood too. One looks like a beam (like from a building of some sort), one looks like a large log, and there is also a rock.
Children's cover:
That must be Gryffindor's sword the house elf is holding. It has rubies in it.
What's with all the treasure?
-It must be some of the horcruxes. There is a helmet with a Griffin and rubies on it. There is a piece of torso armor with what looks like a beaked snake on it.
The "ring" they are coming out of is likely the top of an archway.
What's the orb with the snake in it about? Obviously connected to Slytherin, but why in an orb?
The stag looks like it is smiling.
It is interesting to note that both the covers emphasize the colors red and gold. The colors of Gryffindor. Then again, the adult cover has Slytherin's locket. |
