That is a thought. That is a definite possibility, but as he never saw anything other than "Snape's worst memory" I'm not sure. That is, unless he wanted him to see that, so that he could see what his father was like. On the other hand, I don't that Snape would risk his own embarassment to prove a point to Harry.
If he was actually trying to hide something, it is likely the truth of whose side he is on that he is hiding. As I believe Snape is not a baddie, I believe this would be Snape hiding the fact that he is on the Order's side.

Why would Snape hide the fact that he is in the order? He should know that Harry assumed that he is in the order along with the other members because of the traffic in and out of the house. Wouldn't he want Harry to know that he is a good guy? Why would you hid the fact that you are on someone's side especially during this crucial point in time.
