That is a thought. That is a definite possibility, but as he never saw anything other than "Snape's worst memory" I'm not sure. That is, unless he wanted him to see that, so that he could see what his father was like. On the other hand, I don't that Snape would risk his own embarassment to prove a point to Harry.
If he was actually trying to hide something, it is likely the truth of whose side he is on that he is hiding. As I believe Snape is not a baddie, I believe this would be Snape hiding the fact that he is on the Order's side.
