That's pretty interesting...but I can't help thinking that it's one of those other farfetched ideas. You know, like Remus having a twin or Peter Pettigrew's silver hand killing Remus as a werewolf... Why would a witch or wizard subject themselves to being sold as a pet? The only exception being Scabbers, of course. It's a good idea, but I suspect J.K. would just shoot it down.
