Look at chapter 15 of Half-Blood Prince "The Unbreakable Vow" pg. 322-324 in the U.S. version. Snape is asking Draco what his plan is and trying to use legilemency (sp?) on him which is where we find out Bellatrix has been teaching Draco Occlumency. [/b]

There's nothing there.
But I was wrong about something else.
In Chapter 15, Snape was asking Draco about Katie and the opal.
This was the original reason for the conversation and Snape's attempt at Legilimency.
Then they drifted to Draco's assignment.
It's clear that Snape knew about the assignment, but did not know what method Draco was trying to use.
What is puzzling me now is the way Snape walked right past Harry in the cloak and SEEMED to not know that Harry was there. I'm starting a new thread. "The Cloak and Snape" or something like that.

Don't be so dismissive. Of course it matters that there is information that Snape didn't know, whatever that information is.
Secondly, why is it puzzling that Snape walked past Harry when he was in the invisibility cloak?
