What she meant was approx.;
James wouldn't really have given the cloak to DD to give to Harry, because to do that-he would have to know that he was gonna die. And he couldn't have know that, cause if he did, he would have made sure that Lily and Harry were't in the house when Volderemort came.

So I am guessing that DD kniw James had the cloak, and fetched from the house after the event happened.
