Yes, the mirror may be in Sirius' house still.
Yes, he may have had it on the night he went through the viel. It may also be on him still, but as you can't come back through the viel, maybe can't communicate either with anyone who has gone through there.
Also, the bit where you say "...Possibly he could leave it in Ron, Hermione, Fred and George or even Kreacher and Dobby's possessions...", i wouldn't think that he would leave it with Kreacher. Reason being, if Kreacher could obey
two masters when Sirius was still alive, who is to say he will go back to one now that Harry is his master? Just because Sirius is dead, does not mean he will abandon Lord Voldemort.
