I find it really hard to believe that your connection/relationship to the 'soul' can be so alienated. It seems to defy the very notion of 'soul' by any understanding. Whether that is that the soul is a person's 'spirit', consciousness or conscience, 'soul' should react more on your conduct and understanding rather than your physical nature.
So Voldy WANTED to make 7 horcruxes but if Harrys killing them off what's to stop him making more?? Why stop at 7?

psyduck: excellent point. If Voldy knew Harry had destroyed the diary AND Slugworth was at Hoggers, don't you think -shouldn't Dumby have known- that Voldy knew his horcruxes were in danger?? Don't we have to assume that Voldy would have gone to check on the horcruxes??
