Hold on ya'll i have lots to say so strap in its gonna be a long ride.......Ok in book 1 when Hagrid and Harry are out shopping for school supplies, Hagrid says he is buying Harry a birthday present. He says he'll buy and animal for him due to the fact that he is an animal lover. A realistic gift... Hagrid notes that he hates cats cause he is allergic to them, and that toads "aree out of fashion" (used to be in fashoin a few years ago), therefore he buys Harry an owl. Ok why do I tell this story? Becuase I think it is relevant to the Trevor story.
1. Neville is from the begining a clumsy out of stlye out of touch young student. Harry is the biggest thing, hes cool and popualr. Neville has an old out of "fashion" toad and Harry ahs a owl, not just any owl a snowy white a very rare one.
2.Neville is, now that we know, the only other child that could have been mentioned in the prophecy. Neville is exactly the opposite of Harry. he was raised by wizards but was thought to be a squib. Harry on the other had was raised by muggles in fear that he may be a wizard.
2. Everyone expects "great" things from Harry. They expect nothing from Neville, just getting into Hogwarts was amazing to them.
3. No one knows why Neville got into Gryffindor, he is clumsy and not too brave. But he does slowy grow into himself. (stands up to Harry, Hermoine and Ron in book 1 and later joins the DA and shows his true colors at the ministry). But Harry is immediatly a success. Even when everyone thinks he is the "heir" or that he put his name in the goblet he is still famous Harry Potter. People expect great things from him.
4. Neville is almost the better character, he comes up from the very bottom, he is the one that looses his frog, that can't do the most basic spells, and potions class..... thats a laugh. He has no confidence in himself because no one has confidence in him. He must build himself up from the very bottom. Harry on the other hand has always been trusted, he has always been thought to do well. From the begining Harry was expected to do great things, and Neville wasn't expected to do anything. Yet both sets of parents were in the order, both sets of parents were powerful opposers of Voldie and both parents lost their lives protecting what they held dear. And like Harry said it might be better to die then to be tortured to the point of madness, to not know who you are or recognize your child, your mother....its almost like Neville has the hardest life and the hardest path to his destiny.
Okay I'm done for now. Sorry I tend to ramble.
