Why thankyou Psyduck. Really nice point of yours about the symbolism. I never thought of that before. I know there was a lot of talk straight after we'd all finished HBP for the first time - all still in shock- that Dumby was like a phoenix. The whole 'Harry saw a phoenix in the flames of Dumby's cremation' thing got us all a pondering for a minute about the link between fawkes and Dumby.
I gotta say though, it does look like phoenix tears can cure cursed wounds -poison and all. In which case Fawkes could've helped Bill. I'm with Ron when he says "Bill fought those maniacs on Dumbledore's orders, Dumbledore owes him, he can't leave him in this state-". If Fawkes is meant to reward loyalty, where's his?
You hear me Jo/Squidward?! Where's the loyalty??*chuckling at my funny pyschotic rant* |
