Interestingly (or not, you decide), I have been surfing the old Mugglenet site this very morning and found out some pretty interesting (uh oh, repeating adjectives, never a good sign) stuff regarding the clues in the PoA movie. Now, I have to admit to not being a fan of the movies - the first one's tripe, the second one's worse and the third one...well, all I say is I thought werewolves were hairy - and I've only seen PoA once - Xmas Day, full of turkey and wine, wasn't paying too much attention to be honest - so I didn't really pick up on any clues myself. However, there has been much made about the Bridge scene signalling that Lupin loved Lily - which seems plausible enough - and also that Hermione might turn into a werewolf - offal if you ask me. Now then, the point: as I said, I went on Mugglenet today and saw an interesting article regarding Rings. Those of you who haven't seen the full cover for the HBP (and if you haven't, why not? It's on the Bloomsbury site {www.bloomsbury.co.uk} so go and check it out) won't know about this, but on the spine for the book, there's a picture of a Ring. In the PoA movie, there's apparently a shot of Seamus Finnigan wearing a similar ring (dun-Dun-DUN!). Still not getting the significance? Well, the ring is apparently very similar to the one on the cover of HBP. Still thinking So? Well, how about this one, then: there are other people in the PoA movie wearing exactly the same ring. Can you guess who they are? Give up? Malfoy, Crabble, Goyle, Parkinson and Nott. Which raises the question, why exactly is Seamus - a Gryffindor - wearing the same Frat ring as a group of Slytherins? Premonition of Dark Things to come from Seamus, or just shopping at the same costume jewellry boutique?
I've made a bit of dog's dinner of explaining that theory (had to get it down, because it seems more believable than Hermione turning into a werewolf) so if you're interested, you should check out
www.mugglenet.com. It's on the home page, bold as brass and it makes for some pretty interesting reading.
